Time waits for no man… or women either

Rushing through the ArchMy clients have brought me the gift of time this week, everyone seems to want more time. “I need more time” is said as if I could magically wave a magic wand and produce more time for them to take away and solve all of their problems. Of course, secretly I wish for this myself, warmly remembering a childhood when warm summer days seemed to go on forever :) Mmmm back to the real world.

Transactional Analysis For Beginners

10am – 4pm. 24th & 25th September. £80 per person

A FUN personal development weekend workshop using Transactional Analysis (TA) as a way of understanding yourself. By the end of the weekend you will:

  • Understand some basic aspects of personality theory.
  • Be able to go home and start communicating and relating to others in a more positive and healthy way.
  • Become aware of patterns of behaving, feeling and thinking, and your beliefs and value system. You will then be able to assess their usefulness in various situations.

Is alcohol a stimulant or a depressant?

Well actually its a depressant, although it’s not quite as simple as that so read on.

This blog was inspired following a recent conversation with a friend, during which it seemed apparent that some people believe alcohol to be a stimulant. There is of course an element of truth in this, as there is a biphasic element of alcohol consumption in the early stages of the body processing it.
