Meditation often brings up many images, such as sitting bolt upright with your legs crossed, fingers making up a circle with each hand resting on each knee, of chanting an affirmation over and over again, or staring at a spot on the wall for hours. Although these ways of meditating are extremely beneficial and involve a form of discipline which forms part of the meditative state, here at Ongoing Support we like to use the ‘flop’ pose to meditate. We will encourage you to form a shape above your chosen beanbag, and then to ‘flop’ down Read the rest of this entry »
Update September
It’s all go here, in fact the phrase running around like headless chickens applies here. We still have a number of finishing touches to do, however the room is almost ready for use.

Renovation Progress August

I have started making some bar stools for Read the rest of this entry »
Floors & Fences

Renovation Progress July
We had some disappointing news last week from our plasterer, who won’t be able to plaster until earliest late July, latest September. This means that we have now changed our plans and we are now laying the wood flooring before the training room is plastered. We also have the outside decking area to keep ourselves busy with, which will form part of the therapy centre, creating a space for sitting out in the sun (when it decides to show itself).
